anti-gravity – back & hip care

Question:

There would seem to be the risk of popping an aneurysm or bursting blood vessels in the brain from potential increase in fluid pressure due to gravitation if veinous or lymphatic drainage systems are not working normally. Raises the interesting question of whether humans are "designed" to tolerate prolonged upside-down positions. On the other hand, I have an uncle-in-law that would stand on his head next to a wall three times a week a la Gomez Addams of the Addams family. There are some physical therapies related to use of reverse muscle action to realign bony segments, or joint mobilization techniques (not to be confused with chiropractic adjustments) that can increase length of ligament or joint capsular structures to allow increased free range of movement. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Can anyone give me some feedback on the anti-gravity / inversion type > devices that allow you to hang upside down?  I’m 48yrs old, active and in > good health, but I have some curvature in my lower spine which seems to be > related to (causing) some mis-alignment and discomfort in my left hip.  I’m > thinking about buying such a device and using it several times a week  along > with a routine of yoga/stretching and strengthening of abs, lower back and > hips.  Personal experiences?  Concerns?  Any opinions would be appreciated. > thank you, Will

Can anyone give me some feedback on the anti-gravity / inversion type devices that allow you to hang upside down?  I’m 48yrs old, active and in good health, but I have some curvature in my lower spine which seems to be related to (causing) some mis-alignment and discomfort in my left hip.  I’m thinking about buying such a device and using it several times a week  along with a routine of yoga/stretching and strengthening of abs, lower back and hips.  Personal experiences?  Concerns?  Any opinions would be appreciated. thank you, Will
