In 10 to 15% of births, MD-obstetricians reach INSIDE vaginas – with forceps and vacuum extractors – and drag babies out by their skulls – through birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%. DO lie on your side, kneel, get on your hands-and-knees, stand – whatever – just DON’T lie on your back or semisit.  Stay OFF your sacrum as your baby comes out.  Talk to your MD or CNMwife about this BEFORE your delivery – preferably AFTER a chiropractor has explained the simple biomechanics if you don’t understand… BEWARE:  Some MDs and CNMwives let women try "alternative" delivery positions (eg. squatting) – but they move them to semisitting as the baby comes out – thereby closing the birth canal up to 30%. MDs and CNMs are closing birth canals up to 30% in cases where women were spontaneously *opening* their birth canals up to 30%! According to Simkin et al.
