"Time" WTC attack by the numbers

Question:

I am the president of a local service organization.  We had attempted an American Flag fundraiser about 2 years ago with no success.  It seemed that we could not give flags away.  After the terrorist attacks we were able to sell all the flags in two days. We had originally paid $55 for each flag and pole.   We sold the flags at $30 just to get them off our hands.  Our Club is sending $1000, the lions share of money raised to the WTC Disaster Victims Fund.  We turned a loss for our club into a wonderful donation to the victims of the disaster.  Its amazing that even this disaster has some positive outcomes.  It is just too bad that America has to be shocked to come to its senses and unite. — DR.
