Beeping,beeping,beeping……
Question:
Can anybody tell me what happen with the seat belt reminder beeper in my car–1987 Honda accird Dx? After driving several minutes, the seat belt reminder light and beeper keep going on, whatever the seat belt was fastened or not. Even both sensor under the seat were disconnected, the problem was still there. It made so much noise and made me mad. Any infromation and suggestion are appreciated. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Response:
The beeping will definitely be there if you disconnect the wires under the seat– this tells the control unit that they are not buckled. Honda seat belts carry a lifetime warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. You might be able to get the warning system covered under this. See your dealer. Rob
Response:
Disconnect the chime itself. If it is like a lot of other honda’s, it is under the dash on the left side of the car. You might want to buy the service manual for the car for an exact location and for what other items will be affected. I know that in my 96 Accord the power windows and sunroof go out if I disconnect the chime, but there is no adverse effect in my 88 Integra. Darrel.
