Derm might take me off ACCUTANE. sore back issue.

Categories: Chiropractor

Question:

the pain is nothing, i didnt think she’d have a problem with the sore back since i always hear sore back is typical. if i knew she wouldnt upgrade my dosage i would have shut my mouth. Now i need to convince her of letting me have the higher dosage. On the accutane pack itself it says muscles will be sore so wtf is she doing??

Response:

do to a back specialist and have him evaluate your back for underlying pathology, and if fine, tell your dermatologist that your back is fine so you’ll get the accutane dose you want.

Response:

but isn’t sore back a normal thing on accutane?  damn if it is i need to convince my doctor somehow to gimme that higher dosage.

Response:

For a while, I went to a chiropractor for back pain.  He taught me how to stretch the back and use a cold pack to reduce inflammation.  You can also go to your GP for an anti-inflammatory prescription.

So i went today to get a dosage upgrade and to my surprise she said she will not upgrade my dosage since im have a sore back. But i thought sore back was alright? isn’t it a typical side affect???  I told her that it might be since i sit down a lot,but honestly it didn’t start until i went on accutane. I only get bothered by sore back when i lay down to go to sleep, for about 10 seconds i’ll have a little discomfort until i adjust myself… Now she says if by next month i dont get better she will take me off the ‘tane or decrease my dosage to 20 mg or something. She said to do exercises to get my back strong, how the eff do i do that? ::goes on the web to search some techniques.
