Heard of Vax-D for injured disc?

Categories: Chiropractor

Question:

Actually, the subject line says it all. shelb

Response:

Vax-D is usually performed by chiropractors, here is a description of this alternative therapy: VAX-D is a non-surgical therapy developed for the treatment of                       disabling low back pain.                       VAX-D Therapy is designed to relieve pressure on structures                       that may be causing low back pain. It relieves the pain                       associated with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease,                       posterior facet syndrome and radicular pain.                       VAX-D achieves this through decompression of intervertebral                       discs and facet joints, that is unloading, due to distraction and                       positioning.

Mike…. My chiro performs tractioning on my lower back, 2-3 times a week.  I lay on my stomach and he gently bends me at the waist, over and over, increasingly moving my legs off to my right (I have a bulged disk on the left side).  This relieves some of the pressure on the sciatic nerve that is being pinched by this disk. Is this was this VAX-D is, or is that something different? Bonnie

Response:

Bonnie:  Thats most likely Vax-D, its manipulation on a table to put it very simply.
