Chiropractic Healthiness

Question:

WHen I spoke to my doctor last about my hands – I have inflammatory osteo – and it is much worse inthe left hand  - he said that perhaps we should discuss surgery. MY first reaction was NO WAY. BUt now I’m curious (Still not interested in having surgery on my fingers)  about what it can possibly do.   It’s only the first joint (near the nails) that seem to be affected and they are quite distorted and misshapen.  At times it feels like a couple of the joints are not quite in the sockets and if I shake my hands sometimes they ’snap’ back into place. Anyone else have similar experience? Anyone had surgery for this? Glo

Gloria — I have had finger joint replacements but at the joint closest to the hand.  When they go — they actually break and flop in the breeze.  I have no choice.  Hope someone will be along to help you shortly. Absolutely. I love my surgeon — we have been together for over 10 years now. Jeannette, This cracked me up!  When I was having some major back problems and trying to avoid surgery (ended up having to have it) I was seeing a chiropractor who made the comment, "YOu may want to consider a job that doesn’t involve standing or sitting."   I deadpanned, "That leaves one alternative and I don’t think my husband will go for it!" That’s what I was getting at when he said I needed a job that didn;t involve standing or sitting.   He was a redhead and he blushed so nice when I mentioned the alternative = and that my husband wouldn’t like it. Amazing how people set themselves up for these things!
