TMJ??
Question:
>>Could someone please explain why TMJ problems could have >caused my shoulder pain, or at least contributed to it? >Look at a muscle chart. It’s amazing the way we are put together!
I guess I should have stated that I was looking for a detailed response. For example, does the sternocleidomastoid pull the clavicle out of place, thus exerting more pressure on the shoulder? Or does something else happen? Thanks to everyone for their responses so far — it is amazing how one thing affects another! Could someone please explain why TMJ problems could have caused my shoulder pain, or at least contributed to it? I have been going to a podiatrist/chiropractor who is working to restore my balance, etc. I complained about my shoulder hurting, and he traced it to a problem in my bite. He gaveme a splint to keep in my mouth at night, and darned if my shoulder doesn’t feel better. So why does this work?
