Sure!  Riboflavin.  It’s bright yellow.  I think that it’s the one that stinks, too. — Good health to you! Doc Steve (These are just my personal impressions.  I’m not intending them as professional, expert advice.) Before you buy.

The vitamins are helping your body heal itself, and the bright yellow color comes from detoxification as your body expels artificial food coloring, preservatives, and other toxins you have been exposed to.  You should keep taking the vitamins until the yellow color goes away. Be very careful about detoxifying on your own. You should be under the care of a competent chiropractor or homeopathic physician, who will prescribe the proper nutritional support to make sure your body is not overstressed. It can be very dangerous to release all those toxins at the same time!  Hope this helps  :-)

My kids have been taking B Complex for a Loooong  time and their urine is always – always yellow after taking it.    We eat 80% healthy, too.  So they’re not junked out.    Can they really be that toxic??  Surely there is color transferance from the B2? The only way vitamins can be toxic is when taking them in pill or tablet form. It’s the binders and fillers..not that actual vitamin that is toxic. Where  in the hell did you come up with this crap ??? The color is from the B vitamins themselves not food coloring.

Naw, that’s silly. Elementary-school science project:  just buy some riboflavin (B2 without other vitamins).  Crush the tablet.  Dissolve it in water. It’s bright yellow.  Smells like "vitamin burps." Now take the tablet.  When your urine looks yellow, put it in a disposable plastic cup and look at it in the light.  Same bright yellow.  Smells like "vitamin burps." Not rocket science.  No hoodoo about detoxification. It goes along with the fact that Americans have the most nutrient-rich and expensive pee in the world. — Good health to you! I can relate. My kids have had some strange digestive ailments they are now outgrowing, but they’re your basic healthy "horses" otherwise.  Perfect teeth, no "colds"  rarely sick.  Thank heavens. > Great you have a 95% diet!  If I had a bit more room I’d grow all my own > instead > of only some. > ## I did that went I lived on the farmette but it’s just too much work  Had > my own chickens and goats for eggs and milk.  We made our own cheeses.   I’d > never want to do that again and organic farming isn’t as easy as the books > (and net) make it sound.   Canning is a lot of "sweat" work too as it comes > almost all at one time or the produce rots.   It’s just not worth it.  I’m > no sicker or healthier these past 13 years that I’ve been buying my food at > the grocery stores.

We do alot of freezing – I have 3! freezers.  I don’t trust the canning.  WHen I was a kid we had a HUGE  1/4 acre garden and canned and froze a years supply each summer.  She always threw the canned goods away.  Didn’t trust em.  Must’ve rubbed off on me. : ) > — > Carol

question. I also sent it in to a nutritionist where I purchased my vitamins and got the following response. Question : I have just ordered and begun taking B-Complex and suddenly have bright yellow urine. Which vitamin does this and why? Hello! Thank you for your question. Riboflavin, or vitamin B2, harmlessly colors the urine bright yellow.  This is due to the fact that Riboflavin itself is yellow in color.  This discoloration is normal and should not alarm you. ## Connie… I eat healthy 95% of the time and my urine is always yellow. When I do take supplements (surgery, pregnancy etc.) it was the SAME color.  So they’re not > junked out.    Can they really be that toxic??

##  No.  That’s simply not true.  It sounds like more website hype.  And I’m certainly not loaded with toxic waste from a poor diet.   Surely there is color > transferance from the B2?

Moses here: No, it is the riboflavin. Brewer’s yeast has quite alot of it. When I was a kid, compressed brewer’s yeast tablets were a popular B vitamin supplement. Of course, to get a modest dose one needed to swallow a hand full as I recall. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!
